Birthday Celebrations!

What a day we had yesterday! After getting Louis and his friends home to play and paint birdhouses for a little while - we headed off to Montana's for supper. We had so much fun playing hangman and laughing about spelling and hearing-confusions (Gina's "dasember" = December and Jonathan D's category that I heard as "big hats" but was actually "big cats"!!) Of course, Lou got the "Horn Hat" treatment - to my delight!! Revenge . . .aah aah aah . . . :0) The waitress made a point of coming to the table after our meal and letting us all know that the kids at our table were some of the most polite children she had ever served and that she wasn't the only one who notice - the other servers were actually commenting in the back . . . how nice for the kids to hear those encouraging comments! (Kids definately hear enough of the correcting-kind). On that note, I have to say - Stephen definately gets the "most thoughtful, helpful and well-behaved" award in our books! What an amazing boy! We loved listening to the whispers, giggling and shushing as the boys tried to settle down to sleep in the living room late last night. They eventually fell asleep (without any further instruction from us BTW :0)

We woke up to fried eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes ala Tony. What a treat! My favourite, of course, was the hot coffee I could smell as it whafted up to the bedroom . . . mmmmmm :0)

Well, it's onto another joyfully busy day at our home . . . preparing for Thanksgiving dinner and looking forward to enjoying conversation, games and good food with our family and friends.
