Day 2

Hello, again! We are winding up another day on our vacation ... Daddy and Uncle Jaime drove to New Jersey today to pick up a new sofa for the living room. They saw the East Pennsylvania State Penitentiary and the battle ships in the harbour.

Aunti Naomi, Hannah and I drove to New Hope. What a wonderful little village!! We rode the old "Reading Railroad" (the same Railroad that you buy on the Monopoly Game :0) and saw some fantastic country scenery. It wound through old English-style tudour homes on either side of a creek. We saw the house where slaves would stop and stay while they were escaping from the south. We took lots of pictures but we will put them on the blog in the next day or so ... we have to download them onto a CD first ...

We got a little lost on our way home :0) and almost ended up all the way in Philadelphia (south instead of north . . . oops!) But, eventually, we made our way back to the right road.

Tomorrow we will be up early and on the road to Valley Forge (where there is a George Washington Memorial) and then onto Philadelphia and the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Can't wait.

We miss you all very much, Lou, Gina and Maria. We'll call you tomorrow night. Only 6 more sleeps till we see you!! Love you!
